Kendall Qualls, the Republican-endorsed candidate for Minnesota governor, said his running mate Brian Nicholson told him early on that he had gone to Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021. Nicholson has said he was there to support President Trump and left when things turned violent, while Qualls said in this video that Nicholson’s attendance “wasn’t an issue” for him then, “and it’s not an issue” now.
