Kwik Trip is a vertically-integrated company
Kwik Trip, Inc., a family-owned convenience store, started in 1965 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. More than 38,000 employees work at over 900 stores across the Midwest.
As a vertically-integrated company, it operates its own bakery, dairy, kitchens, food-safety lab, distribution center, LP plant, blow mold facility, transportation company and health clinic. About 80% of the products in its stores are made, shipped, and sold by Kwik Trip, the company website stated.
Some of the products include Pothole Pizza, Glazers Donuts and Karuba.

It wasn’t until 2003, that Glazer Donuts was first introduced. By 2013, the convenience store celebrated 400 locations. Three years later, it grew to 500. Fresh fried chicken came along in 2019, and one year later, take home meals were introduced.
There are more than 2,400 members that belong to a Minnesota Facebook fan page, Minnesota Kwik Trip Enthusiast Club, which is not run by the company.
