Amy Klobuchar is running for governor of Minnesota and just chose Former Mayor Ben Schierer as her running mate for lieutenant governor. Schierer has spent 16 years working in local government, including two terms as mayor of Fergus Falls in northwestern Minnesota. He previously ran a business in the city and now works for a regional economic development nonprofit.
