She witnessed federal agents kill Alex Pretti. Now, she’s spoken to investigators. Wynnie Savageford says she was tackled and detained after asking agents for a warrant during the Jan. 24 operation in Minneapolis. From inside a federal vehicle, she witnessed agents fatally shoot Pretti. Her attorneys say Savageford met with the FBI, DHS and the U.S. Attorney’s Office on Sept. 9 after securing immunity to speak freely. The Justice Department opened a civil rights investigation into Pretti’s death in January but has shared few updates. Her interview offers a new indication that the investigation is moving forward.
