After the Trump administration paused about $1 billion in Medicaid funding for Minnesota and California, CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz said Minnesota has already submitted some of the requested documents. Oz said the state’s materials are being reviewed and that the goal is to restore the funding if officials can show the money “has truly been well spent.” He said California’s review is still ongoing because of the size and complexity of its Medicaid program.
