Virginia Rep. James Walkinshaw condemned ICE agents for forcing their way into the Minneapolis home of U.S. citizen and pediatric ICU nurse Teyana Gibson Brown without a judicial warrant, saying the case shows the consequences of dramatically expanding immigration enforcement without stronger safeguards. Gibson Brown says armed agents used a battering ram to enter her home and pointed guns at members of her family while arresting her husband. She and several other plaintiffs have since sued the Department of Homeland Security over a policy allowing ICE agents to enter homes using administrative warrants rather than warrants signed by judges.
