Six months after federal agents killed Alex Pretti, Sen. Tina Smith says the demands for answers and accountability remain unresolved—and ICE has continued using deadly force. Pointing to the recent killings of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston and Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Maine, Smith said public trust in the agency is “fundamentally broken.”
