Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar asked acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to commit to following federal law and not deploying armed federal agents to polling locations. Blanche initially responded, “of course,” but when Klobuchar pressed him for a direct promise, he would only say that he would follow the law and its intent.
