Minnesota Republicans candidate for Congress hired a white nationalist

Eric Pratt, a state senator and the Republican-endorsed candidate for Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District, employed a self-proclaimed white nationalist. Pratt’s field director, Austin Brown, started posting the racist, violent rhetoric in 2025 to his then-public X account.Matt Little, Pratt’s opponent in the race, is the one who brought Brown’s behavior to light at a press conference at the Minnesota State Capitol with other community leaders.Pratt fired Brown only after Little publicly exposed the behavior.Pratt’s account followed Brown’s, so Pratt appeared to be aware of his staffer’s posts.
