Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan is going after Republican Senate nominee Michele Tafoya over past comments about the state. CNN’s KFile resurfaced a deleted 2023 post in which Tafoya wrote that she was “embarrassed to say I live in Minnesota” and said leaving the state was “the plan.” Tafoya has since denied being embarrassed to be from Minnesota, saying her criticism was aimed at the state’s politics and policies. Flanagan and Tafoya are facing each other in Minnesota’s U.S. Senate race this November.
