Doug Chapin, the DFL-backed congressional candidate for Minnesota’s sixth district, criticized his opponent, incumbent Republican Tom Emmer, for being a no-show to the candidate forum at Minnesota Farm Fest, the state’s annual agriculture convention. Chapin said constituents want a member of Congress who will show up. CD-8 Rep. Pete Stauber lit into Chapin for bringing it up, stating that the House Majority Whip is “fighting for his life” with no other context.
